Empowering Sustainable Fashion from New York to San Francisco

At the National Youth for Sustainable Fashion (NYSF /'nīs-ef/ for short), youth leaders spearhead initiatives to create change and innovate towards a sustainable future.

NYSF.EARTH is the hub of youthful energy, creativity and collaboration for positive change.

Since 2020, members from NYSF.EARTH, formerly known as APPY CLUB, have united teens to make a positive impact in our community. As a national organization of youth leaders, primarily aged 15–24, NYSF.EARTH is charging ahead to start a movement to advocate, educate, and empower consumers to make sustainable clothing choices through hosting events, promoting policy, research, and innovation that lead us to a sustainable future.

"Threads of Change"

Our documentary film "Threads of Change" won first prize in C-SPAN's StudentCam national competition in 2024. It has also been selected for screening at the All American High School Film Festival, a prestigious honor, and will be shown at the AMC Empire 25 theaters in Times Square, New York City in October 2024.

Clothing Labeling Bill

NYSF.EARTH members are working on supporting a legislative bill titled the "Voluntary Sustainable Apparel Labeling Act" by Representatives Casten and Salazar, which was introduced in the House on July 8th, 2024. This is a great opportunity for our national youth leaders to collaborate and ensure the bill becomes a reality.
